Mass EXODUS
For some reason I have that song in my head, Love is in the air... (John Paul Young circa 1978)something, something, something. But I’ve changed the lyrics to be, change is in the air. Good story, right? The truth is that we do have some changes on the way this weekend. Of course, change really isn’t that out of the ordinary for us, we tend to thrive on it. But here’s what you can expect to see with the start of our new series EXODUS this weekend.
1. We have 4 audio bits that will introduce worship, the game, offering, and break it down. The tech booth is going to be busy this weekend!
2. The key word will be said in the video and not said separately at the beginning. (KNOW is the key word for this weekend.)
3. ANNOUNCEMENT: Calling all artists and creators!
In response to one of the most amazing journeys in the Bible, kids in Jungle and Elevate will have the opportunity to create for the first ever art show at Radiant Church. As we journey with Moses and the Israelites through the book of Exodus, kids will be encouraged to dream big and let their imaginations soar! Any student interested may enter by submitting their art the weekend of October 25th/26th in preparation for the Exodus Art Fair the weekend of November 1st and 2nd.
Possible entries include:
Original Art: paintings, drawings, sketches, sculptures, mosaics, etc.
Creative Writing: What was it like to be an Israelite? What was Moses thinking when…?
An Original Song: recorded on cd
A Newscast: recorded to dvd
Anything you can dream up!
4. Random youtube segment: Leading into the Lesson video there will be a random youtube segment. This weekend will be funny babies… we are talking about the birth of Moses from Exodus 1-2:10
5. Trivia: There will be a cube on stage – one for each team. On four sides of the cube there will be pictures of things representing a, b, c, d. ex: apple for a. All trivia questions will be a,b,c,d… kids need to start with cube on stage with blank side facing up. After question is asked they spin the cube to have the letter they think is right facing out.
6. New Takeaway: There will also be a newly formatted takeaway going out this weekend.
Whew! Deep breaths (that's for me!). If a cue is behind or something happens out of order we will survive. Our hope is to give the kids an exciting experience that is unique to each series. See you this weekend!
