Hosanna!
"Praise to the Son of David!
The Bible reveals that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him with waving palm branches, and by covering his path with palm branches. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, he begins his journey to the cross. (christianity.about.com)
You can find the biblical account of Palm Sunday in Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; and John 12:12-19.
As Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey the people cried out HOSANNA, or "Lord, save us." That day was all about Jesus. The palm branches and crowd were not assembled to cheer on the donkey, and what a ridiculous thought that would be. And yet... how often do we desire the accolades of others when our job is simply carry the message of Christ to the people? I'm being reminded this week that "He must become greater, I must become less." (John 3:30)

God bless the One who comes in the name of the Lord!
Praise to God in heaven!"
Psalm 118:26
If you happen to follow the Church calendar, you may have already noted that this Sunday is Palm Sunday.
On Palm Sunday Christians celebrate the Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before his death and resurrection. For many Christian churches, Palm Sunday, often referred to as "Passion Sunday," marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday.
