How many?

14,000.

That’s a huge number, especially when you think of it in terms of the meals HD Elementary students could give to kids around the world. If every child that attends Jungle and Elevate actually takes the 20 Quarter Challenge during the month of November, then we could provide 14,000 meals through Kids Against Hunger. If I think about that number hard enough it brings tears to my eyes.
Little eyes are watching us. Watching to see how we will respond not only to this challenge, but to each of the challenges life presents us. How will your giving, tithing, interactions, conversations, and attitudes influence the lives that we will have in our care this weekend? My hope is that we will indeed make an impact for all of eternity.

This weekend begins a series titled “In God We Trust.” As an elementary ministry we will learn to take care of what we have because it all belongs to God. So here’s the dare: take the 20 Quarter Challenge, bring for the canned food drive, and commit to remind our kids that what we have truly does belong to the Lord.

“The earth belongs to the Lord. And so does everything in it. The world belongs to him. And so do all those who live in it.” – Psalm 24:1

See you guys this weekend!
